Who Are Your Campus Ministers at Drexel?
Brian received his undergraduate degree in Biology in 1998 from Messiah College. He went on to work in pharmaceuticals and found himself at the Drexel School of Medicine. During this time, Brian felt a tugging in his heart to pursue ministry. He did not have an exact picture of what that meant, but the Lord had it all planned out.
One day, Brian found a ministry opportunity in Philadelphia as a Mission Service Corps Missionary (MSC).
MSC Missionaries are appointed to a specific college campus in order to fulfill their ministry goals. It was only natural that Brian go to Drexel since he was there already, just in a different role.
It took 3 1/2 years to convince the school to let them come in as their campus ministers. Not only had Brian and Jennifer taken a tremendous leap of faith, leaving two, full-time jobs to go into ministry, but it seemed as if they would never find favor among the administration on this campus.
Well...NEVER say never when God is at the forefront of your life, because all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose!
Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1998 from Messiah College. She went on to work with a social service
agency, facilitating drug and alcohol prevention groups in the Philadelphia School District.
Jennifer completed her graduate work in counseling and received her Master's degree in August 2000.
She became a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Pennsylvania in 2005.
On February 17, 2005, Jennifer and Brian had a beautiful baby girl named Julianna.
In that same month, they started their student ministry at Drexel.
In 2015, Brian and Jennifer celebrated 10 Years serving in student ministry on their campus. Philadelphia is a city that is rich in history and culture and worth a visit!
